I’ve been wanting to start a sort of video game fanart series of sorts, and I finally finished the first one. Wowie zowie. It starts off with Harvest Moon: Back To Nature, the first game I had on the Playstation.
I figured, to keep my video game playing in check while challenging myself as an artist, I would make some piece of art of whatever game I finish. This pic ended up taking a lot longer than I anticipated, as it was actually started months ago and I have finished several games since then. I’m behind!
So basically, I played this game a ton in my childhood, like…I have several examples of really terrible harvest moon based comics from when I was ten, and I had married all the girls at least once, though Ellie was kind of my go to girl. My interest was rekindled when I got the “Boy and Girl” PSP port, as a young girl I just about went crazy with the fact that they had made a version with a playable female character and that it had not made it to the United States, so I was even a little excited to finally play it as an adult. (That being said, the port had a lot of glitches and the girl version had some problems, but I won’t go into them)
Amazing art by Becca! It took her about 2 million years to make this drawing and the effort shows! So nice! :)
A few drawings from my game "The Fisherman and The Worm". These as well as a few other of my drawings are now in the gallery at Nickelodeon. It’s really exciting to have my work hung up in the studio! :)
The Fishermen and The Worm is a freeware game made in RPGmaker.
The story revolves around Fred, a no-neck fisherman who lives in the underground jungle and his desire to go fishing. Joining up with his classmate Jerry and a popsicle mining worm, Deliah, Fred begins his journey through a world that is new and strange to him in order to find the perfect fishing spot!
The game is more light hearted and silly than my first game and I hope you enjoy it! If it is not your cup of tea I would really appreciate it if you shared it with someone who might enjoy it more.
